I like to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Forest Service Rd. 105 Payson Az 85541 (928) 535-9859 A nice place to take a vacation away from every day things. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to place your campsite. Build a campfire and Pich a tent. Cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv or Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups. Cabins to rent and lodging in the area. There are several hiking trails to choose from. One trail that a whole day hike. Wear good sneakers or boots on the trails with good cushion soles. Canteen with water to drink on the trails. Walking, jogging, horseback riding and jogging are popular activities. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. Walkie talkies would be a good substitute to have with your group of campers. Have a camera to take photos of all the great scenery to look at later. Bug repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from the camp. Canoe, Kayak, to paddle around a lake or river. A river current and rapids can tip over your boat. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Lay out on the shore and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. Can go innertubing or rafting on a river and flow with the current brings you downstream . Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are lots of animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance and get drawn to your camp. Wash your dishes in a couple containers. One with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Try not to leave your food out while away from the campsite or at night while people are sleeping. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Play volleyball with a group of people. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes. Play board games or play cards. Throw around a football or a frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. At night they can play laser tag and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a river or lake. Pet policy- Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. Please clean up after your pet. Pet allowed in most areas except where there is a sign for no pets.
