Apache Junction AZ 85119 (480) 982-4015 A nice place to take a vacation away from everyday things. Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no power outlets available. Cabins to rent and there is lodging in the area. You can drive the 145-mile Apache trail loop with deep canyons, rugged trails and Pristine lakes. There are many trails in the area and wear good sneakers or boots with good cushion soles to hike anywhere. Explore with off road jeep tours or guided horseback rides into the foothills. Have a canteen with cold water for any trail hiking. Walking, Mountain bike riding, and jogging are popular activities.
There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Walkie talkies could be a good substitute to talk to others in your group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away.
Canoes, Kayaks, to paddle around a lake or river to look at the scenery. A river has strong currents and rapids that a tip over your boat. Wearing a life jacket is a good idea while boating. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling can be lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many animals in the woods and can smell food at your camp. Washing your dishes helps to reduce the smell that draws them to your camp. Have a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water to wash the dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping.
Lay out on the shore and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft and float on the current of the river and enjoy the day. There are many activities people can play such as corn hole, ring toss, horseshoes. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Play board games or playing cards.
Take long walks in the woods to look at the scenery. There are picnic tables to have a picnic. Have a hammock to relax on and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are playgrounds for kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river.
