I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and new places to camp at. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Indian Maiden Falls Camp Verde Az 86322 (928) 567-7126 A nice place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Review things to bring along, so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages to be kept cold. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are not any power hook ups available. Can rent a cabin and lodging in the area. Indian Maiden Falls has a 7 mile out and back trail near camp Verde. This is a popular trail for backpacking, camping and hiking. You can enjoy the solitude during quieter times of day. Have good hiking boots for this or any hiking. You can backpack part of the way and set up camp for the night and continue the next day. It’s at least an 8-hour hiking trail. Someone could plan the hike for several days and enjoy the hiking adventure. Hikers can bring their dogs as long as they are on a leash.
There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. To have with a group of people to communicate if no cell phone service. Have insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Camera to take awesome photos of your hike to look at later. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Canoe, Kayak, to paddle around a lake or river to look at the views. Boating on a river is a lot of fun but be careful of strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout back at your campsite over your campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many animals in the woods that can smell food from a long way away. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while your away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping.
Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and go sight see. Have a picnic on a blanket near the river or creek. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are many activities people can play corn hole, ring toss, and play horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds in the area for the kids. They can play laser tag a night and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a lake or river. These are some of the activities you can have and there is more. Leave a message if you like at the bottom comment section. Thank you for sharing your camping experience, Jeff! Your article provides a comprehensive guide for anyone planning a camping trip. I particularly like the idea of hiking the 7-mile trail and camping overnight. I wonder if there are any other trails in the area that you would recommend. Also, have you ever encountered any dangerous animals while camping in the area? Overall, your article is very informative and has inspired me to plan my next camping adventure!

I would be cautious about bears and rattlesnakes but not way to worried. There could be mountain lions-cats in the area. I have not camped in that immediate area but have not heard of anything to be way to concerned about. It’s always good to be aware of animals anywhere someone camps..

This review of the Indian Maiden Falls Arizona camping area just proves the value of your site Jeff as the picture at the top of the article is not at all what I think about when I consider taking a trip to Arizona but the water and ancient rock juxtapose to present a fabulous view which may belie the urgency of the heat one may experience when visiting Arizona.
The seven mile out and back trail would be a challenge to some but to others may be the exact kind of relaxing journey they are looking for.
