Cave Springs AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my site. I like the outdoors and to camp at different locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com AZ-89A Sedona, AZ 86336 (877) 444-6777 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Review things to bring, so you don’t forget anything. The town of Sedona has may restaurants and shops to visit and is situated near Slid Rock State Park. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. Rv-Camper with a generator in case the are no power hook ups available. There may be cabins and lodging in the area. Cave Springs is located in Oak Creek Canyon and is one of the most popular campgrounds in the area. Has 82 campsites in a forest of ponderosa pines with many on the banks of Oak Creek. There are a few trails to choose from. Have good hiking boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink on any trail. Walking, Mountain bike riding, and jogging are popular activities. There may not be any cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies may be a good substitute to have to communicate with your camping group. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera and look at awesome sights to look at the photos later.
Canoes, Kayaks, are good to have to padddles around a river or lake and look at the sights. Boating in some areas can have strong currents that can tip over a boat. Deep water rivers or creeks you should have a life jacket for safety purposes. Snorkeling and scuba diving are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can go fly fishing or can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes as there are many animals that can smell food cooking from a distance. Wash the dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your camp or at night while people are sleeping. Lay out on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swimming at night the water feels warmer. An innertube or raft to ride the currents downstream or to just lay around in still water and enjoy the day. Have a hammock to lay on to relax and read a book. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play a board game or cards. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are picnic tables at the park and have a picnic. There are playgrounds at parks for the kids. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river. Pets are allowed and should be kept on a leash. Please clean up after your pets. These are some of the activities you can have while camping and there is more. Leave a message at the bottom comment section if you like.
