Has 100 campsite locations to choose from to camp at with picnic tables. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv- Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups. There are cabins and lodging in the area. Has several hiking trails to choose from in the area. From short to long trails. Can go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and then continue your hiking the next day. Would be a good idea to plan your hiking ahead of time. Have boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way. There are many activities such as horseback riding, Mountain bike riding, walking, and jogging are popular. There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies to have to talk to other people in your hiking group. Have insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Canoes, kayaks, to paddle around a lake or river and look at the scenery. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wearing life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to catch. There are bass, crappie, trout, catfish, walleye, sunfish, striper, and other fish. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout back at the camp over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell your food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while your away from the camp and at night while people are sleeping.
Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water. Can float down a river on the current. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Can play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a lake or the river.
Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- There is a $100 pet fee for each pet. Plus, a $200 deposit, which will be refunded provided there is no damage caused by the pet. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and brought into the cabin at night. Do not allow your pet to disturb other guests. Pet deposits must be made by credit card.
