Kaibab Lake Az Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com HWY 64 I-40 East 2 miles to Exit 165 Williams Az 86046 (928) 699-1239 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have found the location that you’re wanting. Review things to bring along with you so you don’t forget anything. Has large, beautiful campsites that are a good distance from one another. A good location close enough to restaurants, groceries and bait/ice, but you still feel like your far enough away from civilization while you’re at the lake. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build your campfire and pitch a tent on a flat area. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Have an Rv- camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. May have cabins to rent and lodging in the area. There are 3 popular trails in the area. Have good boots or sneakers with good, cushioned soles for the hiking trails. Canteen with cold water to drink along the hiking trails. Trails that are several miles long, someone could go backpacking and set up a temporary overnight camp and continue your hike the next day. Horseback riding, mountain bike riding, walking, and jogging are popular activities on the trails.
There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of campers. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Would be a good idea to have a small first aid kit if needed. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are several species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are channel catfish, largemouth bass, brown trout, and rainbow trout. Take your catch back to the campsite for a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. There are many species of animals in the forest that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Can store your food in a vehicle to keep the food safer. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a sun tan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to float around and play in the water. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones in a lake or river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Can lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet policy- Pets are allowed at the park and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pets. Pet must be kept under control at all times. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Leave a message if you like at the comment section at the bottom. Can click on my e-mail sight and leave a message also. I’m glad to hear there are hiking trails there. I walk regularly so I’m in fairly good shape, but do you know whether the trails require real “hiking” stamina, or if average stamina is ok? Being near a lake is another plus. I find being near water is one of the most relaxing things about a vacation. If I can camp in a place near water, and with walking trails, I’m a “happy camper!” LOL
87most would be average stamina
