Greetings! My name is Jeff, and this is my camping site. I like to go camping and the outdoors. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 1 Letchworth State Park Castile, N.Y. 14227 (585) 493-3600 A nice place to take a vacation or weekend getaway. Find a location and set up your campsite and pitch a tent. Build a campfire and bring along a cooler with food and drinks. A rv or camper would be good to bring. Have a generator for power at the camper or campsite. Could be log cabins and other lodging in the area. Review things to bring with you before leaving to go camping. At Letchworth State Park hiking would be an adventure. Many hiking trails can be found. Hikers can choose from 66 miles of hiking trails. A good idea to wear cushioned sneakers or boots. Bring a backpack with some medical supplies in case someone gets hurt. A canteen with cold water on those long hikes. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. Lots of thick forest in the area and heavy brush. The Genesee River goes through the area and there are 3 large waterfalls between cliffs as high as 600 feet. There is a beach at the park. Lay on a beach blanket and get a suntan. Get a hammock and lay on it and read a book. Bring your fishing poles and there are many kinds of fish in rivers and lakes. Go fishing on a boat or on land. Have a cookout after and if you catch any fish have for dinner. Wash your plates in a container of soapy water and after in another container with rinse water. Many animals in the woods and can smell food and could attract to your camp. Don’t leave food out while your away and at night when people are sleeping. All sorts of activities such as tubing and rafting. Take a dip in the water on hot summer days to cool off. At night the water is warmer to take a swim. Could go scuba diving or snorkeling. Water skiing is a blast. Whenever I camp, I bring a lantern and walk around, and you can see immediate area pretty good. A flashlight is also good. The campfire emits enough lite to see a little way. Have insect spray for this adventure in case flying insects are heavy in the area. Go for long walks in the woods and have a picnic after. Picnic tables are scattered in areas of the park. There are many activities that can be played while camping. Playing board games and play cards. Corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes. Play catch with a ball and glove. Throw a football around. There are usually playgrounds at parks. Kids can play laser tag a night. Have a telescope to look at stars and constellations. Pets are allowed at the park and must be on a leash and are not allowed to swim at any water location. These are some of the things to do at the park.
