Then look no further than camping at a lake for fun or relaxing. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Have an Rv- Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook ups. Can rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area.                                                                                                                  There are some trails you can take a hike on. Wear boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any hiking Have a canteen with cold water to drink along the way. Can go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue your hike the next day. There are many activities such as horseback riding, mountain bike riding, walking, and jogging are popular on the trails.                                                                                        There may not be telephone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for a group of campers to communicate with each other. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later.                                                                                                         Canoe or kayak, to paddle around the lake or river and enjoy the sights. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular.                                                                                             Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught.  Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are catfish, largemouth bass, green sunfish, carp and a few walleyes.                                                                                                                                        Have a cookout after back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner.  Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other in rinse water.                         There are many animal species that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping.                                      Lay out in the sun and get a suntan on a hot summer day and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have a raft or innertube to play out on the lake. Can float downstream on the current of a river and enjoy the day.                                                                                                                             There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Can play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove.                                                               Have picnic at the picnic table or on a blanket. Take walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer.                                                                                                                                            There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a river or lake.                                                                                                                                                    Pet Policy- Pets are allowed and must be attended at all times. The leash cannot be any longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. Cabins can have 2 pets for an additional fee of $5.
