I like your list of activities we can engage in during camping. I always enjoy having a cookout at the campfire site. Roasting chicken over the campfire is my delight. I love the smell and taste of chicken roasted over an open fire. Although I do not enjoy washing the dishes, you can count on me when it comes to roasting meat on an open campfire
Thanks for your reply. I’m not crazed about the dishes part either. Ya chicken cooked over the campfire does taste really good.
Wow, this post has made me want to pack my bags and head to the nearby lake for a camping trip! The suggestions for what to carry and activities to do are pretty helpful. I particularly like the idea of hiking in well-cushioned shoes, canoeing or kayaking on the lake, and cooking over a campfire. The reminder about being mindful of food storage to avoid attracting animals is essential too. And it’s fantastic to see that pets are welcome at the campground, with guidelines for safe pet keeping in place. Are there any specific safety measures or recommendations you could offer for campers who intend to bring their pets?
Thank you for the informative and motivating article!
Enjoy a fantastic time camping!
Thanks for your reply. I like that location. I would also suggest Havasu Falls at the Grand Canyon looks like would be a good place to camp at. Just the basic stuff about animals and a dog on a leash of 6 feet or less. Some places they want people to clean up after there pets.
You just keep adding to my list of places I want to go camping, Lyman Lake State Park looks like another place I want to check out. I really like that I have come across your website today, there are many great places to camp in the US and finding them all, or the hidden gems could be difficult. Your website and blogs are a great resource to find new places to go camping.
Cheers
