Review things you bring to be sure you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler for food and beverages. There are restraints in the area. The park is at Daniel Boone National Forest. Can bring an rv-camper with a generator in case there are not any hook ups for power. There are more than 70 cabins you can rent and stay at. Should be lodging in the area. A heavily wooded area with streams, rivers and lakes.                        At Red River Gorge, there are more than 10 hiking trails at the park. A very scenic area with cliffs to climb on for those who enjoy rock climbing. Wear good boots or sneakers for hiking anywhere. A canteen for cold water to drink on long hikes. There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. A walkie talkie set is a good substitute. Mountain bikes, jogging and bicycling are popular activities. Alot of sight see activities in the area. Have a camera for awesome photos to look at later.                                                                                             Can lay out on hot summer days and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off.  Canoeing, kayaking on a river or lake is a lot of fun. There are kayak tours into a cavern system. Wear a life jacket as there are currents and rapids that can tip your boat over. Can go tubing, rafting and ride the current downstream. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular. Water skiing and wind sailing are a blast.                                                                                  Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Bring your catch back to the campsite and cook over the fire or grill for dinner. Wash the dishes in two tubs, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water.                                                                                                      There are lots of animals and can smell food from a distance. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping. A good idea to bring mosquito and bug repellent with you if needed.                                                                                                     Take long walks in the woods on a trail or path. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Many activities to play while on vacation such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw around a frisbee or football. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and softball.                There are playgrounds at the park for kids. Play tag and skip rocks in the river or lake. At night kids can play laser tag and hide and seek. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations.                                                                                                                           There are lots more activities at the park.
